Penny Burke BEd, Dip Art & Design

Penny holds tertiary degrees in Environmental Science / Media Studies, and Art & Design, and is a qualified secondary school, TAFE and adult education sector teacher.

She has taught in the Victorian state and independent school systems, as well as the adult education sector - where she holds qualifications in Workplace Trainer Certificate (Level 4). Her specialisations include adult literacy, oracy and numeracy - with strategic skills in dealing with difficult youth learners.

Penny's academic and teaching studies are complemented with practical experience in educational policy writing (adult learning sector), resource design and resource testing & application.

With her partner Geoff Russell, Penny runs Burke & Russell Media Pty Ltd, a media consultancy with clients including Coliban Water, Bendigo Tourism, Bendigo Mining, BRIT, and Vicroads Melbourne.

Penny is a long-serving member of the board of Continuing Education Bendigo (holding the executive position of Secretary), and teaches in the Victorian Certificate of Advanced Learning program (part-time) at Continuing Education Bendigo, and Kangaroo Flat Secondary College.
