About Media AustraliaMedia Australia's principals Geoff Russell and Peter Wiseman have worked together in the Central Victorian city of Bendigo since 1991.
As a close, collaborative partnership Russell & Wiseman offer over 50 years' combined experience in professional media production - across film, video, audio, photography (film & digital), journalism, marketing, publishing, graphic design, animation, interactive media, web design, and 3D exhibition design. Depending on the scope or demands of each project, MA also draws on the expertise of a range of highly talented media specialists, to supply additional creative or technical support. MA is a truly 'vertically-integrated' media business: owning and operating its own in-house suites of digital production facilities, and offering communication solutions ranging from creative concept and scripting, through to production and post-production, and on to replication (video, CD or DVD). School's TelevisionMA holds a 'preferred supplier status' with the Victorian Dept of Education & Training's Schools' Television production unit, based in Melbourne. As a preferred supplier, MA is on call to provide a range of digital video production services - including location shooting, scriptwriting, production, post-production, hosting, and computer graphics. Board of StudiesMA has been listed as a preferred supplier of educational video resources to the Victorian Board of Studies' newly accredited Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) courses for 2000-2004. This means that when subject teachers are considering new (video) resources to complement their curricula, they can be assured that the resources produced by MA will exactly match their desired student learning outcomes. History AwardIn 2002 MA won the prestigious Victorian Community History Award for the 'Best AV / Multimedia Production'. The award was presented for the MA production titled: 'Sir John Quick and the Sandhurst ANA'; a program specifically researched and produced by MA for display within the highly successful 'Making a Nation - Federation Exhibition', in Bendigo. ATOM AwardsIn 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996 and 1998 MA educational videos were finalists in the prestigious ATOM (Australian Teachers' of Media) Awards, in the highly contested categories of 'In Context', 'Best Science Documentary', 'Best Educational Resource', and 'Best Secondary School Educational Video Resource'. TV News AwardsDuring their earlier commercial TV news & current affairs' production careers, MA's principals Geoff Russell and Peter Wiseman each won prestigious Dalgety Rural Press Awards (TV News). In addition, they both produced TV news services that earned coveted Penguin Awards, for the 'Best Regional TV news Services.'
