They will also learn the role chicken plays in the Australian food industry, and its nutritional value in a balanced diet (through expert input from Nutrition Australia). Structure: Approximately 22 minutes long (maximum), structured as an opener / intro, then 4 x 5 minute sequential segments, and summary / coda. Market Applicability: This program would be an invaluable resource for Food Technology in Years 8 -10, across all state curricula. It would be of particular application to NSW HSC Food Technology (9.1 Sectors of the Australian Food Industry and 9.2 Food Manufacture), and Victoria's VCE Food and Technology (Unit 3 Food Product Development & Unit 4 Food Production and Food Controls). Further markets would include hospitality and food technology courses run in our TAFEs, through VET and VCAL, and courses run by RTOs.
